During quarantine, many were feeding their emotions with sweets and my house was no different. Baking became a comfort for my eldest daughter and she never put the ingredients away so there they sat on my counter and one morning the sun came up and lit this scene like a beautiful still life and I sat there and decided to draw instead of losing my cool about the mess and the lack of studying happening across the room by both of my girls.
